- It is a historic day for Beitar and the strongest proof of the need for cooperation with Muslims and the Arab world in the war against racism, says the club and shows pictures of the sheik wearing a scarf in Baitar's colors yellow and black together with representatives of Association.

Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan from the ruling family in the United Arab Emirates has bought around half of the shares in Beitar Jerusalem, which has never had an Arab player in the squad, for SEK 775 million.

The deal is an imitation of the political normalization that the Trump administration achieved in the region last fall.

"Heard a lot about the change that has taken place"

- I am expectant of joining such a glorious club.

I have heard a lot about the change that has taken place in the club and what is happening.

I'm happy to be a part of it, says Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan according to Middleeasteye.

Some of the hardline fans of "La Familia", who openly boast of being racist towards Arab and Muslim players, are protesting against the decision and slogans have been spread outside the stadium.

Other fans are positive about the decision, not least to get in so much money and have grown tired of the club leading such a dwindling existence without success on the pitch for so long.

They put up a banner in contrast to the slogans and welcomed the sheik to the club.
