Athletes described the statements of the former coach of the Colombian national football team, Jorge Luis Pinto, to Colombian media, in which he criticized the players in the Emirates national team, describing them as "waking up from sleep at exactly one o'clock in the afternoon and training at seven in the evening", that he diagnosed Because of an already existing disease and problem, they considered in their speech to "Emirates Today", that "the phenomenon of staying up late for some players, not all of them, is a problem that hinders the development of Emirati football, whether at the national or club level." And that "the blame in this aspect lies with the clubs." And the Football Association is not in the matter of not changing the player's lifestyle and making him apply professionalism in its correct sense, and not just contracts and salaries that he gets, by obliging him to sleep early and not stay up until late at night, which negatively affects his technical level on the field.

While others criticized Pinto's speech, describing it as a "provocative" and that it is closer to the method of gloating, considering that "the lack of morning training for the national team players is his problem, and not the problem of the players."

And Pinto had told Colombian media that “the lifestyle of the players in the Emirates was one of the reasons for my departure from training the national team, especially since the way I work is completely different from the way people work for Emirates football, as they, for example, wake up at one o'clock in the afternoon. They train at six or seven in the evening, so the team barely had one training per day, which made me feel that I was working on the night shift. ”

Emirates Today tried to communicate with relevant officials in the Football Association, with the aim of obtaining clarifications on Sports Street and responding to the statements of former national team coach Pinto in this regard, but they did not respond.

The Football Association recently announced, during a press conference held by the National Teams Committee, the termination of coach Pinto's contract after only about five months had passed since he assumed the role of coaching the national team.

The national team faces a difficult challenge when, as of next March, it plays its remaining matches in Group G in the joint qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup and the 2023 AFC Asian Cup.
