The Allsvenskan final at home against Östersund on Sunday will be the striker's last match for MFF - at least for this time.

Kiese Thelin belongs to Anderlecht and now the Belgian big club wants him to return to Brussels.

Before the season, Kiese Thelin was loaned to Malmö FF as a replacement for Markus Rosenberg, who ended his career last year.

He has produced 13 goals and three assists so far and the idea was that he would continue in the club.

But in that case, it seems as if Malmö FF can buy out the powerful, national team-qualified striker.

- Sad that Anderlecht called him back in January to show up there.

But we are working on.

We have not given up hope and really hope that he is with us next year, says Daniel Andersson to Expressen.

The sports director continues:

- Of course he has been very important to us this season and is our first priority.

Then if it is not possible to solve, we have to look at other alternatives.

Isaac Kiese Thelin's contract with Anderlecht extends until the summer of 2022. So far he has mostly been on loan, to Waasland-Beveren, Bayer Leverkusen and this year to Malmö FF.
