HV71 was tipped by many experts high up in the table ahead of the season, but has not lived up to expectations at all.

Three straight losses and most recently 0-4 away against Rögle has made the word crisis more and more mentioned.

But in the home meeting with Djurgården, the Jönköping team got off to a dream start.

Already after two minutes, Linus Sandin was able to put 1-0 in powerplay after a nice shot from the castle.

Before the end of the period, Sandin was a two-goal shooter.

18 seconds from the break, he twisted the puck in the offensive zone and gave HV71 a psychologically important goal.

- It was nice to hang it there, very fun for myself and for the team.

Sometimes it bounces back and sometimes you get a little closer, says Sandin in C More after the first period.

3-0 late in the second

The second period seemed to end goalless, but with four minutes left, HV71 scored the third goal of the evening.

After Djurgården again lost the puck on the way forward, Anton Wedin was able to serve Eric Martinsson who scored 3-0.

- We are a team that does not have the world's greatest confidence so we take 3-0 instead of 2-1, of course, says Martinsson during the period break.

Early in the third period, the nail came into the coffin.

Linus Sandin, with his third point for the evening, then served Simon Önerud who only had to put the puck in the open goal.

"It's turning now"

A home team with newfound confidence then made it 5-0 by just the speed.

After a fine move down the middle Anton Wedin nearly gave the home side a goal after 27 minutes.

Djurgården reduced through Jesper Pettersson to 5-1 which was also the end result.

- We have had a heavier period with a couple of bad matches so it is very nice to break back and take three points, says Linus Sandin after the match.

Sandin himself has had a tough season, but hopes it comes loose now.

- It has been hard.

I have not played at all at the level I want to be at, but it feels like it is turning now.
