Haaland will be out until next January
German football club Borussia Dortmund announced that its Norwegian star Erling Haaland will be out of action until next January after suffering a rupture of the hamstring muscles and that the injury of defender Mats Hummels in his ankle is not as bad as expected.
Haaland, 20, scored 17 goals in 13 games this season, including six in four matches in the Champions League, to top the scorers' record.
Dortmund coach Lucien Favre confirmed that "he will not play until January ... this will affect us, and it seems that he has played a lot lately."
Haaland missed the match against Lazio of Italy on Wednesday in the fifth round of the European Champions League and guaranteed his qualification for the round of 16 by tying one with him, and the German team will take the lead in Group Six if it beats Zenit Saint Petersburg next Tuesday.
