The 30-year-old right-hander officially ended his career a month ago when he realized that the tenacious shoulder injury would not heal, tried a year of rehab, and that a shoulder prosthesis might be required in the future, something he does not dare risk.

Zachrisson comes most recently from the Bundesliga club Füchse Berlin, where he has played since 2013. He made 128 international appearances and the highlights of his national team career are the Olympic silver in 2012 and the European Championship silver in 2018.
