Messi celebrates his first goal after the death of Maradona in his own way

Lionel Messi scored a stunning goal and gave a touch of loyalty to his late compatriot Diego Maradona, and Barcelona returned to the road to victories in the Spanish Premier League with a 4-0 victory over Osasuna on Sunday.

Messi finished an impressive teamwork with a huge shot into the net from the edge of the penalty area during the second half, after Barcelona had scored three goals by Martin Braithwaite, Antoine Griezmann and Philip Coutinho.

After scoring the goal, Messi took off his shirt to reveal another red and black shirt, the shirt of his hometown club Newell's Old Boys, which was the number 10 that Maradona wore while playing there for a while in 1993.

Before kick-off, Barcelona honored Maradona, who played for the club an eventful but disappointing period between 1982 and 1984, as he put a former shirt bearing his signature in the stadium cabin while the players stood for a minute in mourning in front of an old Barcelona shirt bearing the number 10.
