The European Football Union (Uefa) is planning for the European Championship next year with four different corona scenarios for its twelve venues.

As the Uefa confirmed after a report by "Sportschau.de", the first scenario is based on the assumption that the coronavirus is under control so that it can be played in full stadiums in the summer.

The second scenario envisages a stadium utilization of 50 to 100 percent.

In the third variant, around a third of the spectator seats should be occupied.

The fourth scenario includes the complete exclusion of viewers, there would be ghost games.

It's a radical plan.

Fans and players find the empty ranks in the leagues daunting and an impertinence.

A tournament like an EM, however, lives far more than a Bundesliga game or a duel in Serie A from the emotions of the fans in the stadium and in the cities between games.

On March 5th, a definitive regulation is to be made as to how many spectators at the venues are allowed to enter the individual EM stadiums.

Then Uefa wants to determine at which of the twelve venues which scenario is used.

The specification for the twelve venues should then be binding.

Each host city will select two to three scenarios together with Uefa and develop appropriate plans in the coming weeks, the Uefa announced on request.

What makes the tournament complicated and dangerous from a pandemic point of view is that it will be a pan-European spectacle for the first time.

The games will be played for a month bang from June 11, 2021 (until July 11) in a dozen metropolises.

In Germany this is Munich, plus Rome, Baku, Saint Petersburg, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Bucharest, London, Glasgow, Bilbao, Dublin and Budapest.
