Mahrez hat-trick gives City a five-point victory over Burnley

Riyad Mahrez scored three goals as Manchester City scored a 5-0 win over Burnley at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday, in their fourth consecutive home victory over this opponent with the same big score.

Algerian player Mehrez opened the scoring six minutes later after a short and smooth pass, and added the second goal after dribbling in his usual way inside the penalty area and quickly shot into the goal.

Benjamin Mendy made it 3-0 in the 41st minute, after a neat pass from Kevin De Bruyne.

Burnley tried to reduce the lead and Jay Rodriguez hit a shot that goalkeeper Ederson saved from a narrow angle.

But Ferran Torres added the fourth goal after receiving Gabriel Jesus' pass inside the area and hitting the ball from close range into the goal.

Mahrez ended the goals in the 69th minute with a header after a cross from substitute Phil Foden, after which Jesus scored a goal that was canceled by the referee and De Bruyne hit a powerful ball that rebounded from the post in the last minute.
