5 gains for Al-Ahly after winning the African Champions League for the ninth time

Al-Ahly of Egypt achieved 5 important gains as a result of beating its compatriot and rivals Zamalek 1/2 yesterday and winning the CAF Champions League for the ninth time in its history, in the match hosted by the "Cairo Stadium".

Al-Ahly's victory in the championship came, as the "African Princess" returned to the team’s coffers after being absent from the red team since the 2013 edition, in which the team won the title after beating South African Orlando Pirates 1/3 in the total of the home and away matches.

The team’s return to the Club World Cup comes as another gain for the team, as it will participate in the tournament that will be held in February 2021.

Al-Ahly will be able to add a new gain to its gains, when the Moroccan club, Nahdet Berkane, faces in Cairo, as the African Union (CAF) has not set a date for that match.

Winning the championship at the expense of traditional rivals Zamalek has a special character, in addition to reaping the sum of three million dollars, after winning the championship.

This amount is divided into 2.5 million dollars, which is the value of winning the competition, in addition to Al-Ahly's obtaining one million dollars for its participation in the FIFA Club World Cup.

In return, Zamalek will receive a million and a quarter of a million dollars, which is the prize for the team that won second place in the tournament.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) began to offer cash prizes to the first-place winners in the tournament since 1997 and were limited to the first eight place winners, with one million dollars for the title winner, 750,000 dollars for the runners-up, and 427.5 thousand dollars for each of the other two teams who reached the golden square, and 261.25 thousand dollars for each. Of the two teams that ranked third in the group stage, and $ 190,000 for each of the two teams that ranked last in the group, the group stage.
