It was in the last hill uphill that Linn Svahn pressed and created a gap for other competitors.
- I felt strong all day and felt that I could use the hill as I wanted and that I did not have to walk fully all the way.
So I wanted to put an extra gear in the hill and I think I succeeded, says Linn Svahn to SVT Sport.
- Then it was just to stick all the way to the finish.
When I turned around and saw two Swedes behind me, it was cool.
Svahn, who won the sprint cup last year, started the season wearing the red vest.
- I felt that I wanted to defend the red vest.
But the most fun is to start the season with a triple and four Swedes in the final.
I know how strong we have been this summer but it is a completely different thing to get it out on the ski track, says Svahn.
Already this morning, the aim was set for victory.
- I went in with the attitude of winning.
Then nothing is clear until you are over the finish line, but I had nothing else in sight.
It was thus triple Swedish on the podium through Maja Dahlqvist as second and Jonna Sundling as third.
- It's big with a triple, it shows how strong we are, says Svahn.
