As so many times before this season, the match began with IFK Gothenburg conceding an early goal.

Already after nine minutes, Leo Bengtsson forced the ball in for Häcken after a nice post by Godswill Ekpolo.

But IFK Gothenburg rose after the conceded goal, and barely ten minutes later came the equalizer.

After a fine move down the middle Sargon Abraham nearly gave the home side a goal after 41 minutes. The finishing shot went just wide, though.

After the equalizer, Häcken took over and was definitely closest to a goal, even in the second half.

Suspected criminal situation

And you should probably have got the chance from eleven meters, but the referee proposed when Patrik Wålemark fell on Jakob Johansson's legs late in the match.

With only seconds left, Ali Youssef got a golden position but shot over from close range.

Andreas Alm was diplomatic after the cross and the missed penalty.

- I have not criticized the judges in the media this year.

The reaction to our players is that it is a penalty, but we can talk about it as much as we want.

That is still what the referee says based on the situation, Alm tells Dplay.

Wålemark himself was clearer in his opinion.

- I do not get it.

I'm just lying and waiting for the barrel, he tells Dplay.

"Happy with the lead"

As all bottom colleagues, Kalmar, Falkenberg and Helsingborg, lost, the point was important for IFK Gothenburg in the hunt for a new contract.

Blåvitt has a new four points credited down to Kalmar in the qualifiers with two matches left to play.

- We have two matches left that are very important to us and we are quite happy that we have that lead.

We do not have to hunt anything.

We have fought hard all season and it still feels like we have it in our own hands.

I'm not calm but not super stressed either, says Gothenburg's Sebastian Eriksson.
