The president of the Haitian federation is suspended for life for shocking reasons

FIFA announced Friday that the president of the Haitian Football Association, Yves Jean-Bart, will be suspended for life, accused of sexually assaulting underage players, and a fine of one million Swiss francs.

The FIFA Judicial Chamber, which received the case file in mid-October after the investigation phase, found Jean-Bart guilty of "misusing his position and sexual harassment and assault on several players, including minors."

In its decision, issued on Wednesday, FIFA's internal judiciary decided to suspend it for life from practicing "all activities related to football at the national and international levels", with a fine of one million Swiss francs, or 925,000 euros.

He added that the judiciary is continuing its investigations against “other officials of the Haitian Football Association,” who were involved in “systematic sexual assaults against female players between 2014 and 2020, as perpetrators, accomplices or instigators.”
