The Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports announced today, Friday, that there are negotiations with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and security authorities regarding the possibility of the fans attending the African Champions League final match between Al-Ahly and Zamalek in Cairo next week.

Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi told reporters after a tour of the Cairo International Stadium, which hosts the final, that "the file of the masses' attendance of the African Champions League final is being discussed with the relevant authorities, whether security authorities or the Confederation of African Football."

He pointed out that "the official decision has not been decided yet, and in the event that the masses are allowed to attend, all precautionary measures will be fully adhered to."

Sobhi added that "coordination is in place with the African and Egyptian Football Associations regarding the application of all precautionary and preventive measures against the emerging corona virus.

He stressed that he will continue his efforts to ensure the presence of the masses to support Al-Ahly and Zamalek.

The final, which will be held on November 27, will be historically this season, as it is for the time." The first will take place from one match, which was postponed on two occasions due to the outbreak of Covid-19 among the players, and the first time that two teams from one country have joined together in the history of the competition.
