Yesterday came information that a leader in the alpine national team had tested positive for covid-19.
A digital press conference was held today and the plan was for all the skiers to be in Levi.
They went out to train on the slopes after the press conference.
But there will be no competitions.
Leaders and skiers are quarantined.
"Quarantined in Finland"
- The entire Swedish team and the rest of the staff are quarantined in Finland.
It is the Finnish authorities who have made that decision, says alpine national team manager Tommy Eliasson.
- They have acted on the basis of the precautionary principle and this decision applies until further notice.
It's about the fact that we had a person who tested positive yesterday.
We are currently in contact with infection control in Finland and infection control in Norrbotten to try to find a solution to bring home our staff and our skiers.
