The Italians are unthreatened group leaders for a reason.

In a match where Sweden created almost as many goal chances - the blue-clad showed a little more class.

It was even worse at Italy's first when Venice's Youssef Maleh pressed for a volley.

The ball went in an arc over a hopeless Pontus Dahlberg.

It was the same with Italy's other goal.

A real cannon

After a short tussle with the defender, Giacomo Raspadori finally tucked the ball home.

The ball pulled straight up in the crossbar and 2-0 was a fact.

Sweden, however, would get a consolation goal through Alkmaar player Jesper Karlsson who quickly reduced afterwards on a failed Italian clearance.

But even if that goal would mean contact, all hope was extinguished shortly afterwards with the next fine goal.

Raspadori with two fine goals

The home team saw their way beautifully through Sweden's back line and Giacomo Raspadori could easily put 3-1, his second for the evening.

When Blågult bet fully, Italy could then puncture the match to 4-1.

The Swedish loss means that they can not reach second place in the group and thus miss the U21 European Championships in Hungary and Slovenia.
