This meeting involving Emmanuel Macron was a wish of the sports movement for a long time.

Are you satisfied with what has been announced?

Of course, it is the culmination of long-term work which today makes it possible to validate the accompanying measures which had been in the making for several months.

This meeting showed the president the full scope of the sports sector, in its social and economic dimension.

Sport is the place where we let go of the mask and where we touch each other, but we can also present it as a solution, as a toolbox so that, after the crisis, it can play its role. social shock absorber.

The Head of State has confirmed an envelope of 110 million euros for professional clubs.

How will it be distributed?

The closed-door compensation mechanism will take into account the rate of dependency on the ticket office and the impact on known losses.

Depending on that, there will of course be a ceiling, because the State is not intended to cover 100% of losses, and we will be very careful that there is equity, that the small sports them. less publicized than volleyball, basketball or handball, are also affected by the measure.

I will also ensure that women's sport, already more weakened in normal times, is included in this measure.

In addition to this mechanism, there will be an exemption from charges for all sports events until the end of the year, because we want to preserve the activity until the public returns.

Will this reception of the public be done with a more generous gauge?

Yes, the president has noted that this return will be made from next year, taking into account a relative gauge, on a perimeter of distance from each other.

The track of a spectator every 4 m2 was evoked, that is to say the distance with the wearing of the mask and the respect of barrier gestures.

The French will soon be able to return to the stadium, but when will they be able to practice their passion in amateur clubs or local associations?

We are aware that the amateur world is not at all in the same situation as in March, when the licenses had been paid and the subsidies paid.

If the clubs have to reimburse the licensees, the risk is great of not being able to reopen.

The message is to say that the month of November is a month to work on a new health protocol including the non-mixing of children in order to welcome minors in the clubs during December.

Children often represent up to 80% of licensees in clubs.

If it is early December, it is better to offer a service during the holidays.

How to ensure that the dropout mentioned by the CNOSF, 20% less redundant at the start of the school year, is not final?

Through voluntary economic support measures.

Partial unemployment has been extended including over 2021 if necessary and an aid fund of 34 million euros will directly concern associations which operate entirely on the principle of volunteering.

The danger is to find yourself without educators when the activity resumes.

We also mentioned the sport pass, which was a measure called for by the sports movement to help support families who want to register their child in sport.

There will be a bond of trust to be restored to show them that it is possible to practice sport in complete safety, this pass should contribute to it [it will cost an additional 100 million euros, note].

Do you think that this aid plan will be enough to bring back the practitioners at the end of the confinement?

The essential thing today is to put them in the clubs and associations or private structures [fitness room, indoor football, etc.] to continue their activity.

At the end of confinement, we will focus on sports practice, we will do advertising campaigns to say that sport must be done.

For people who have been sick, for people who have been psychologically affected, for people who want to reconnect with others, the sport will be there and the clubs will still be standing.

The important thing is not to let anyone down and to unite.
