Jack left a positive doping test, for the substance Ligandrol, before the World Swimming Championships in South Korea in June 2019 and risked a four-year suspension.

The 22-year-old has constantly claimed her innocence and said that the substance - a preparation for muscle growth - entered her system through contamination.

Cas has concluded that Jack probably did not intentionally take Ligandrol and that she will receive a reduced sentence as a result.

The suspension ends on July 12 and the postponed Olympic Games will not start until July 23, 2021.

"No evidence was ever presented"

Jack conveyed on Instagram that she was relieved and happy that this ordeal had finally come to an end.

"No evidence was ever presented of how this substance entered my system," she adds.

Shayna Jack won three medals at the World Championships in Budapest in 2017. All medals - two silver and one bronze - came in team competition.
