Oskarshamn has done well in the SHL and is in fourth place.

But it's not only on the ice they have drummed on, but also in the stands.

Now, however, the team will have to do without that support from the supporters.

- It is clear that the players get extra energy from the fact that we have good energy in the stands.

But I believe and hope that we can deliver just as good ice hockey in front of empty stands, says Martin Åkerberg.

Financially, it does not affect the club so much, as there were already so few who were allowed to enter the arena before the news came.

- We are financially tough.

We keep our noses above the water surface and survive, but there are no huge margins.

- You are struck by the fact that it is serious now.

It's incredibly sad for everyone involved.

It is now understood that it is serious and that we must take it seriously.

"Sport can give a little light and joy"

Despite how the infection looks in society, Åkerberg thinks it is good if the sport can continue to play matches for all supporters who are at home.

- I think that if we can continue to play elite sports, I think we should do it.

We have very good tools in everyday life to keep track of the infection, and if an infection occurs, we can limit it very quickly.

The sports activities around the SHL are as infectious as it can be.

- Is it the case that sport can give a little light and a little joy home to people in the cabins through the TV screen, I think we should try to keep it going for as long as possible.
