The entire Russian elite was present in Olos, but no one could compete with Iivo Niskanen.

Second came Chervotkin and after that came the star Alexander Bolshunov, Ilya Semikov, Andrei Larkov and Yevgeny Belov - in that order.

A well-known skier who had a hard day was Alexander Bessmertnykh who came 22nd, two minutes after Niskanen.

The ladies went five kilometers and there it became much smoother.

At the top there were four skiers within four seconds, but first over the finish line was the Russian Natalija Nepryajeva.

Second came Kerttu Niskanen and third was the German Katharina Hennig.

Just off the podium came Hennig's national teammate Victoria Carl.
