Head coach Peter Öqvist was confirmed covid-19 infected last Friday, something that Norr Media was the first to tell.
- I have been in contact with him on the phone and he is not good yet, says club director in BC Luleå Lars Mosesson to SVT Sport about Peter Öqvist's status.
When Luleå Club trained on Sunday, the team's three American stars are said to have left training while the rest of the team trained further.
According to Norr Media, the reason must have been that the players felt worried about being infected.
- Of course it will be worrying when we get it into the squad.
We are reviewing and investigating the player squad now.
Right now it is a player we are waiting for an answer to that we have tested last Friday, says club director Lars Mosesson.
- One thing is that you get worried and the next step is to keep it within the fence if it turns out to be so.
I do not want to go out and say which are suspicious cases, but there is another player that we tested.
Are there any more that are planned to be tested?
- No, but we have stuff happening here this morning.
Is there anything that can affect the match tomorrow (Luleå meets Nässjö on Tuesday)?
- It depends on how the night has been for some and if we need to test more, it's that kind of thing.
Have you been in contact with the basketball league?
- They have not said much but we will come back with our decision on what we think we should do, says Mosesson
- We train in the afternoon today and then we will have a better idea of how it is.
