Jämtland Basket has had a motley start to the season, with two wins and three losses.

Gold-tipped Södertälje has a loss and three wins and impresses with an average of 97 points ahead.

Returns become important

A problem in Friday's losing match against Nässjö was Jämtland's return, and maybe the American profiles Tavrion Dawson and Cyril Langevine can remedy that?

They have both started the season with a strong physical game and Langevine is the league's best returner to date with an average of 13 returns per game.

- The return will be important considering their heavy "front line" and American players.

Cyril and Tavrion have really shown their quality at the start of the season.

With their physique under the basket, they have two top players, says Södertälje's head coach Ludwig Degernäs to SVT Sport.

- They are good guys who work hard.

I am satisfied with the competitive spirit and hunger they show every day, says Jämtland's head coach Adnan Chuk to SVT Sport.

Missing its audience

Both teams feel very grateful to even be able to play matches under the prevailing circumstances, but of course lack the feeling of a large and passionate audience in place.

-Giant, very much.

Jämtland has a fantastic audience that usually gives 8-10 free points per match - at least, says Adnan Chuk.

-Of course, the audience is a big part of sports and gives the players and us coaches that little extra.

But we must understand what situation Sweden and the world are in right now and appreciate that we get the opportunity to practice our sport, says Ludwig Degernäs.
