A heavy blow to the Brazil national team .. The reason is Neymar

Brazil soccer star Neymar will miss the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela and Uruguay, due to his failure to recover from a muscle injury, according to what was announced Thursday by the Brazilian Football Association.

The federation said that Neymar's recovery from his injury is developing well, "but it is not sufficient for him to play the match against Uruguay" next Tuesday in Montevideo in the fourth round of the qualifiers, according to the national team's doctor, Rodrigo Lasmar.

Neymar would miss the first match against Venezuela on Friday in Sao Paulo, due to the injury he suffered during his participation with his French club, Paris Saint-Germain, in the Champions League at the end of last month.

Despite announcing that his German coach Thomas will return at the end of November, Brazil's coaching staff decided to summon him to his mission in the qualifiers.

"This is the right of the national team," Tachel said last week. "Frankly, we cannot do anything. I prefer not to join the injured youth."

"But at the same time we have confidence in the national teams that they take good care of the players."

Neymar, 28, scored a hat-trick in Lima last month, raising his score to 64 goals, surpassing Ronaldo's "phenomenon" figure and standing 13 goals away from the local figure of Pele.

Brazil had scored two successive victories over Bolivia (5-0) and Peru (4-2), and on Friday it was trying to lead the unified group of South American qualifiers.
