"When we promised that the W Series would get bigger and better in the future, a partnership with Formula 1 was our main goal.
There is no doubt that now that the W Series will be run at the same time as and in collaboration with Formula 1, we will reach out better and have much greater significance ", says W Series CEO Catherine Bond Muir in a statement.
The W Series started in 2019 when seven races were held with the British Jamie Chadwick as the winner of the series.
This year it was canceled due to the corona pandemic.
