A member of the UAE women's skydiving team, Sheikha Ahmed, said that she is happy to fulfill her dream a few days ago to jump from the highest pyramids of Giza in Egypt, carrying the Emirates flag, and that she is now planning to jump from the highest peak in the world (Everest).

Sheikha Ahmed had jumped carrying the UAE flag from a height of 15,000 feet from the pyramids, a mission that was postponed for many months, due to measures related to the Corona pandemic.

She told "Emirates Today": "My dream has come true after jumping from the pyramids of Giza, and I plan next year to be the first Emirati to jump with the UAE flag from the highest summit (Everest), the highest in the world."

Sheikha Ahmed confirmed that the jump in Egypt took place in good conditions, and that it took place at night, noting that she did not face any difficulty during the jumping process, and even the landing.

She added, "I feel proud to have registered my name as the first Emirati parachutist to jump with the UAE flag over the pyramids of Egypt, and this event is one of the most beautiful experiences I have had in my life."

And she continued: “I thank the event organizers in Egypt, especially (Sky Dive Egypt), for the efforts they made to facilitate my mission, and I contributed to the event’s success and its distinguished exit.

And she confirmed that during the jump, she had a photographer who was filming the jump firsthand, and revealed that she used an umbrella in which all safety and security measures are available.

The jump took place at night and took place under normal conditions.
