It has been almost a month since Linköping last played a match.

On October 17, they met Skellefteå away.

Since then, there have been a total of 24 confirmed cases of covid-19 in the player squad and among the staff.

On Tuesday, Linköping was back in the SHL and faced Skellefteå again, this time at home.

It was a clearly affected Linköping, where the players often changed during the first period, who came into play and fixed a 2-1 victory.

- It is clear that it is felt in the skin.

But we are getting into it more and more.

It still felt perfectly okay, we found each other well the first ten to fifteen.

But the last five we need to snap up a bit, said Linköping's Patrik Lundh to C More after the first period.

Junland match hero

It was Skellefteå who took the lead.

In the final seconds of the first half after a nice passing game, Jonatan Berggren, recently returned from the Karjala tournament, got the puck on the blade and was able to send in 1-0 with a hard shot.

Just over three minutes into the third period came the equalizer.

In powerplay, Jaakko Rissanen was able to control 1-1 on a shot from Petteri Nikkilä.

The receipt gave Linköping new energy.

A few minutes later, Jonas Junland put 2-1 through a long draw and then a backhand shot.

Skellefteå put pressure but Linköping resisted and won 2-1.

An important victory for Linköping who only had six recorded points before the match.

You are now second to last in the table.

Already on Thursday, you get a new chance to pick up important points when you meet Djurgården away.

- We play better in the third.

We play forward and they become a bit passive.

It is fun to know that you can still play hockey, Jonas Junland told C More after the match.

- We hope to be able to build on this profit a little.

I really hope we can continue on this path.
