Unity jumps towards the title competition

Al-Wehda jumped two places on the ladder of the general ranking of the Arab Gulf League table, after it managed to beat its guest Al Wasl, 3/2 in the match that took place between them - Sunday - at the end of the fifth phase of the Gulf Arab League for football.

Al-Wehda raised its score to the tenth point, five points behind the leaders Sharjah, while Al-Wasl remained in ninth place with six points.

Al-Wahda took matters seriously from the beginning, and pressed all his lines in pursuit of progress, until he achieved what he wanted through Lucas Pimenta, who took advantage of his occasional distribution from his colleague, Khalil Ibrahim did not find the slightest difficulty in depositing it into the net (10).

The unit was not satisfied with this goal and continued its offensive attempts, to consolidate its superiority in the level of the result. It almost did not register a shot fired from inside the box that passed over the bar.

Al-Wasl tried, after a long wait, to threaten Al-Wehda's goal, with an attempt that was unsuccessful when Figuereido converted Mendes's distribution, the occasional, to reach in the end an easy one in the hands of the goalkeeper.

And Khalil Ibrahim returned to shine again, and gave the Slovenian striker Matavz, a magic pass that hit the Al Wasl defense, and put him in a confrontation with the goalkeeper, to put it successfully on his right (28).

In the second half, the rhythm of the match increased from both sides, as Al Wasl managed to reduce the difference through Joao Figuereiro, after a perfect distribution from Salem Al Azizi, (51).

But Al-Wehda did not allow his opponent to return to the match and was quickly able to expand the difference through Mpoku after an interval of successful passes (56).

Al Wasl was able to return again through Joao Figueroero (75), but the goal was not enough to get the visiting team out, even with a tie point.
