Long battered by Alexander Zverev, Russian Daniil Medvedev finally won the Masters 1000 final at Paris-Bercy on Sunday in three sets (5-7, 6-4, 6-1).

This is the first title won by Medvedev this season.

Things had started badly, Zverev won the first round after a nice fight of 42 minutes.

But the Russian, world number 5, did not come out of his match so far and pocketed the next two sets, offering only five small points in all and for everything to his opponent of the day.
