Several clubs, including Villa Lidköping and Skirö, according to Bandypuls, criticized the Swedish Bandy Association for discrimination after the decision to shoot the ladies' elite series at the same time as the men's would be played as planned.

Now the union has changed.

The ladies' elite series will be played and the start of the series will begin - just like for the men - on 13 November.

"The elite series men and women and the Allsvenskan men will be handled based on the same conditions when it comes to training and competition", the association writes in a board statement on the website.

There, the board also strikes back at the criticism of discrimination.

“At the federal level, this is not a gender equality issue.

The association treats both women and men completely equally;

the same competition regulations, the same compensation for national team assignments, the same compensation for winning the Bandy final, etc.

You simply earn too little on your sport. ”

"And that other unions do in a certain way can never be a reason for the bandy to automatically do the same."

Herrallsvenskan is scheduled to start on 19 November.
