Sweden got off to a solid start with a full 12-3 when not even a quarter was played.

The goalkeeper duo with Mikael Aggefors and Peter Johannesson excelled and Hampus Wanne accounted for eight hits in the first half.

- Brilliant play by Sweden all over the course.

For the first fifteen minutes there was nothing to complain about, said SVT Sports expert Magnus Grahn.

At the break, the score was 20-12 to Sweden.

Weak Sweden in others

But if the first half was really good, then the second was almost the opposite.

Romania started to catch up immediately after the break and with ten minutes left, Sweden's lead was only 29-26.

Even though it would not be exciting, it did, but Sweden still held off and won 33-30.

Wanne became the best goal scorer of the match, but after the eight goals in the first half, it was only one in the second.

SVT Sports expert Magnus Grahn was not impressed by Sweden's end.

- They were passive in their defensive game.

They got no counterattacks.

They played a little awkwardly, he says.

The other teams in Sweden's group are Kosovo and Montenegro.

On Sunday, the Swedes will face Kosovo away.

The two best in the group go straight to the European Championships in Hungary and Slovakia 2022.
