When several regions came up with new, stricter restrictions, things got messy for sports.

The salary would determine how one should be allowed to practice their sport, at the same time as each special federation should decide who is a "professional athlete".

The Swedish Sports Confederation has now come up with new recommendations to avoid ambiguity.

RF agrees with the Swedish Public Health Agency.

- We agree.

We have informed everyone in RF that we have been given this definition to apply from FHM.

We will reason with the special unions that sit on the corona council, says RF's chairman Björn Eriksson to SVT Sport.

- We have suggested how they should formulate themselves to get away from the sprawl.

"Some hassle"

How do your recommendations sound?

- We have decided to express it more sportingly in comparison with the old way of expressing it.

This is based on the fact that sport should be the main occupation for the athlete, in order for it to be professional, and the athlete should be at the national or international elite level for seniors.

Both requirements must be met, says RF's chairman Björn Eriksson to SVT Sport.

- On the other hand, you remove what has to do with income because it has caused some trouble.

There are also new recommendations regarding team sports.

- When it comes to team sports, the majority principle is applied.

If you are an elite player, and the majority of the players in the team are, then it applies to the whole team.

The majority principle also applies to series games.

All to bring about a consequence in the series system.

Then it is up to each special association to translate it into volleyball, football and other sports.

Then there can always be differences, but that is the fascination with sports.
