On Monday, a tweet: "We can exclusively confirm that there is a race this week."

The message, published by the official account of the Repsol Honda team, did not make any sense.

The fans, all the fans, already knew that this Sunday the MotoGP World Championship returns at the Cheste circuit, so ... What was the explanation?

To a rumor.

More like a leak.

From the same group it had been commented to the press that the return of

Marc Márquez

could be imminent and, therefore, an announcement was in the air.

But, in the end, nothing at all.

This Tuesday, just 24 hours after the tweet, the Repsol Honda team confirmed that its riders in Valencia will be

Álex Márquez

and the German

Stefan Bradl

and delayed the return of the champion for another week.

Nothing new under the sun.

Since Márquez had to be operated on for the second time of his right humerus on August 3, the constant leaks about the possible return have set multiple dates, but none have been met.

At first it was rumored with his participation, away from the cameras, in the Portimao tests at the beginning of October.

Then his environment pointed out that he could be in one of the two races of Aragon.

And finally his team enlightened the option of him being this Sunday in Cheste.

But the only reality is that the driver continues to recover at home three and a half months after his serious accident in Jerez.

On his return, in fact, the only accurate statements were offered by his replacement, Bradl, although later the Repsol Honda team denied him.

"Yesterday they told me that I am going to finish the course. I do not know if I can say it officially, but it is a fact. Marc has to concentrate on making his recovery go well," the pilot told the German channel Servus TV in Alcañiz and, despite to the later denial, perhaps he was right.

With only three races remaining in the next three Sundays, the possibility that Marc Márquez will close the 2020 season in white is the most likely, although his surroundings do not want to take away his hope.

After all, you need motivation for a recovery, which is said to be tougher than expected.

After all, racing in the last round of the year in Portimao, at the very least, would be the best way to prepare for 2021.
