Real Madrid player infected with Corona virus

Spanish football club Real Madrid announced that its Brazilian player, Edir Militao, has been infected with the emerging corona virus, which causes Covid-19 disease.


The Spanish club stated on its official website: "Real Madrid would like to inform that the team's player, Eder Militau, had tested positive for Corona tests, which were conducted on the team yesterday morning, Sunday."


The club added in its statement that the rest of the players and the technical and administrative staff of the first team, as well as the club's employees who work together, had a negative sample.


The club concluded its statement, saying: "The club would like to draw attention again, that everyone except Meltiao tested negative in the test that was taken this morning."


Militao had participated with Real Madrid in the last game in the Spanish League against Huesca, which ended in the team's 4-1 victory, raising its score to 16 points in second place in the table, one point behind leaders Atlético Madrid.
