IFK Gothenburg and good match starts have not been synonymous with the last three matches.

0-1 against AIK after three minutes.

0-1 against Malmö after four minutes.

At home against Örebro, things started even worse.

IFK Gothenburg's defensive play did not impress when Nahir Besara made it 1-0 after just over a minute with his twelfth goal of the year, since Blåvitt did not get the ball away.

Two doomed IFK goals

After the setback goal followed a real pressure from IFK Gothenburg.

First, they had a triple finish on goal in an attack without getting the ball in, and when Pontus Wernbloom steered the ball into the corner, it was blown offside.

Five minutes before the half-time break, Wernbloom found the net again, but again it was offside for IFK Gothenburg who did not have the margins with them.

In the second half, it was irritating in Örebro when Emil Holm bet hard against Kevin Wright who was forced to leave.

Shortly afterwards, ÖSK called for a penalty when Rasmus Karjalainen was hooked up by André Calisir, but the referee also acquitted there.

Three points from last place

An IFK Gothenburg in search of goals had a harder time creating clear goal chances initially in the second half, and it was rather closer to a second goal for Örebro.

But the longer the match lasted, the more pressure the home team put.

They hit the crossbar after a corner in the 90th minute, but it did not want to for Gothenburg and Örebro took all three points.

As Falkenberg beat Djurgården, Falkenberg is now only one point behind IFK Gothenburg.

Helsingborg, which is below the line, will meet Malmö FF tomorrow.

IFK Gothenburg now has only three points down to the last place held by Kalmar.
