The president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) is infected with the Corona virus

The President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) of Malagasy Ahmed Ahmed announced today, Friday, that he has been infected with the new Corona virus.

Ahmed wrote in a tweet on his Twitter account, "This morning, I tested positive for Covid-19. I have mild symptoms, but I am fine. All the people around us have been informed."

"At the moment, I am in quarantine for at least 14 days. Watch yourself and your loved ones," he added.

Yesterday, Thursday, CAF announced a new postponement of the Egyptian match between Zamalek and Moroccan Raja, in the second leg of the Champions League semi-finals, in addition to the final match, for an indefinite period.

CAF decided last week to postpone the match to the first of next November (Saturday), due to the increase in the number of players infected with Corona in Raja to 14 players.

Meanwhile, Ahmed Wednesday, a controversial figure accused of corruption and harassment, announced that he would seek a second term at the head of the African Union, despite criticism of his financial management.

It is expected that the African Union will hold its elected General Assembly on March 12, 2021, in charge of appointing a president for it.
