It was an unexpected big victory Modo offered Örnsköldsviksborna when Vita Hästen was cleared with a clear 6-1 last Friday.

When it was time for a new home game this evening a week later, it was Västervik who was visiting.

Modo has opened the season really weak and before tonight's clash they had taken seven points in seven matches where the victory over Vita Hästen was the only other three points.

And tonight everything would turn out to be "as usual" again for Modo.

They were back to what it has looked like in large parts this season: low in energy, unimaginative - and aimless.

Turned and won

The home team certainly took the lead in the second period through Tobias Åhström, but it was also the only goal that the home team managed to produce.

Västervik, in turn, which is at the top of the table, turned around and won.

Oscar Drugge equalized to 1-1 in powerplay just five minutes after Modo's lead goal, before Finn Eetu Tuulola found a way to the final score 1-2 seven minutes into the final period.

The loss means that top-tipped Modo is second last in the hockey allsvenskan.

Västervik is table four.
