The audience limit of 50 people remains in Blekinge.

This was announced by Region Blekinge during an extra press conference together with the county administrative board on Friday.

Thus, there are now six regions that have chosen to keep the 50 limit, and not allow the 300 people that the government announced last week will be allowed from 1 November.

On Wednesday, tightening of the general councils was announced in three regions: Stockholm, Östergötland and Västra Götland.

There are already stricter recommendations in the Skåne region and the Uppsala region.

- It is clear that it is difficult for cultural and sports values.

But we must gather our forces to keep the infection down, says Governor Sten Nordin.

- We do this to prevent further spread of infection and protect healthcare in Blekinge.

It's very sad to have to make a decision like this just before Halloween.

We must all make the effort to reduce the spread of infection.

If we make restrictions today, our chances of being able to be free from this will soon increase.

The spread of infection has risen in Blekingen since mid-September, and in recent days the curve has risen sharply, says infection control doctor Bengt Wittesjö.

- We can see that it has now risen higher with age, he said at Friday's press conference.
