Zamalek renews Hazem Imam's contract until 2022

Egyptian club Zamalek renewed its right-back Hazem Emam contract for two new seasons until 2022, according to what was mentioned yesterday on its official website.

The club stated that the 32-year-old Imam, who spent most of his career with the white team, "expressed his happiness at the renewal of the club in which he grew up, and that he will do his best to meet everyone's expectations, thanking Chancellor Mortada Mansour, the club's president, and Amir Mortada, the football supervisor."

The club continued that Imam continued the rehabilitation program set for him by the team's medical apparatus in order to prepare it for the next period.

The player's contract had expired at the end of the current season, following the confrontation of Zamalek, the runners-up, with Ismaily.

The Portuguese coach Jaime Pacheco's team is preparing to face the Moroccan club Raja Casablanca on Sunday at Cairo Stadium, in the second leg of the semi-finals of the African Champions League, after winning the first leg in Casablanca 1-0.
