Ajman Club doctor, Dr. Tariq Sadiq, confirmed that the injuries that occurred to the players over the past two rounds of the league were expected.

He told «Emirates Today»: «It is natural, in light of the long suspension of players for a period of more than four months, that such injuries occur, especially that the periods that were set to prepare for the new season were not sufficient in a manner commensurate with the periods of suspension.

Sadiq expected more injuries in the third and fourth rounds, indicating that the phenomenon of injuries could stop with the fifth round as a maximum, after the physical readiness of the players was completed as required.

He explained: “We at Ajman Club expected injuries to our players with the start of the league championship, and I imagine that this expectation was present in all clubs, because the quarantine period that the players were subjected to, even if they were training in their homes, does not protect them from injuries, rather it is mainly to maintain weights. Players of any increase, and it is not sufficient for them to equip at the level of professional tournaments.

The Ajman Club doctor stressed that the medical and technical equipment in the club did everything possible to protect the players from the risk of injury.
