Winner in Antwerp, Ugo Humbert settles in 32nd of the ATP ranking

Winner Sunday in Antwerp of the second title of his career, Ugo Humbert climbed six places in the ATP ranking published on Monday to settle in 32nd place, the best ranking of his career, while in the top 20, Milos Raonic (17th) nibbled two places.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, only the Belgian tournament and that of Cologne were on the players' agenda in recent days.

Quarter-finalist in Germany, Adrian Mannarino (39th) has progressed by two places.

Eliminated at the same stadium in Cologne, Gilles Simon retained his 58th position.

Pierre-Hugues Herbert, released in the second round, remains 82nd.

In Antwerp, besides Humbert, two other Frenchmen were involved in the final table, but Richard Gasquet (55th, -1) and Corentin Moutet (still 74th) were beaten as soon as they entered the running.

In the top 20, still dominated by the Djokovic-Nadal-Thiem trio, few changes are to be noted: the Canadian Milos Raonic, quarter-finalist in Antwerp, overtook Karen Khachanov and Stanislas Wawrinka to take 17th place .

Alexander Zverev, winner of the second Cologne tournament on Sunday after having already won the first the previous week, remains 7th and a good distance (over 800 points) from 6th Daniil Medvedev.

The young Australian Alex De Minaur (21), victim of Humbert on Sunday in the final, climbs to 25th position (+4).

The week ahead promises to be calm again: only the Vienna and Astana tournaments are on the program, while waiting for the Masters 1000 at Paris-Bercy which will start on Monday, November 2.
