Last Sunday, Aamodt Kilde participated in the traditional giant slalom premiere in Sölden, Austria, which kicks off the alpine season.

Then the Norwegian stayed in Austria on a sponsorship assignment and came home to Norway on Wednesday and did the test which was positive.

- I have milder symptoms, but the general condition is good.

I am optimistic about recovering fairly quickly and follow current infection rules, says Aamodt Kilde in a press release from the Norwegian Ski Association.

No one else in the Norwegian alpine national team, where everyone was tested, has been infected.

The next competition in the World Cup is not until three weeks from now.
