The death toll from Corona in Morocco's Raja increased to 16 players

The official spokesman of the Moroccan Raja Club, Said Wahbi, confirmed that two new cases of Coronavirus were recorded among his team's ranks, bringing the number of cases infected to 16 players.

Wehbe said during his statements to the Egyptian channel On Sport: "So far, no recovery has been completed for any of the injured, as the players and the technical and administrative staff will undergo a swab today and another next Tuesday to ensure their recovery before traveling to Cairo."

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) decided earlier to postpone the Raja match against Zamalek in the second leg of the African Champions League semi-finals, to be held on November 1.

He pointed out: "I expect that the team will need an additional week to be ready for the second leg against Zamalek, and the failure to issue a postponement decision would have led to Raja's withdrawal from that confrontation."

The official spokesperson of the Moroccan Raja Club added, "Our position on the demand to postpone the Zamalek meeting was sound, as we have documents from Moroccan official institutions that the injuries that hit the team prevent them from traveling outside the country."

He concluded: "We wanted to face Zamalek on October 24th, as it was previously determined, as indicated by the reservation of the private plane that would transport the team to Cairo, and the hotel residence in Egypt at the date that was set for the match before."
