For the first time in history, two cyclists will start the final stage of the Giro d'Italia with the same total time.

Australian Jai Hindley took the lead in the Giro d'Italia on the penultimate day, but does not even have a second lead over British runner-up Tao Geoghegan Hart ahead of Sunday's decision.

"It's unbelievable, I do not know what to say.

Since I was little, I have dreamed of wearing the leader shirt Maglia Rosa, it is a great honor.

I can hardly believe it ", says Hindley in a press release.

It was Hart who won the 190 km long stage from Alba to Sestriere after a sprint battle against Hindley.

"The distance is short"

The giro is decided with a pace race over 15.7 kilometers to the finish in Milan.

"It will be about the legs, because the distance is short.

I hope to have a good day and a little luck ", says Hart.

Trean Wilco Kelderman, Netherlands, is 1.32 minutes behind the close duo before the decision.
