The organizing committee revealed the details of the fifth edition of the largest tournament of its kind, as it will include 4 races to be held in the Saih Al-Salam area in Dubai, with 3 races for men in December, January and February, and a women's race next January, with cash prizes of more than 3 million dirhams. All races are in accordance with the precautionary measures for the Covid 19 pandemic, for the sake of the safety of all competitors, organizing and ensuring the continuation of this highly anticipated annual sporting event.

 4 races for amateurs, professionals and women

The Ladder Cycling Championship is witnessing the holding of 4 races after the Organizing Committee decided to confirm the women's race that was held experimentally in the last version, so that this time it is held in conjunction with the elite race, and coordination with the Emirates Cycling Federation to organize two qualifying races for the first Emirati Amateur Championship for a distance was revealed. 90 km to qualify to participate in the first race for Emirati amateurs, and the second for foreign professionals for the same distance to qualify for participation in the Elite race.

The first race will be held next December in the category of amateur citizens for a distance of one million dirhams, with the participation of 60 competitors, including 20 competitors from the first positions in the previous version, and 40 of the qualifying race, which will be held in coordination with the Emirates Cycling Federation during next period.

The second major race will be held next January and is dedicated to the "elite" professional category for a distance of 127 km and with cash prizes of one million dirhams. It includes the nationalities of citizens and foreign residents and the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, by 10 participants from each country, with a total of 80 competitors.

In January, the women's race for Emirati amateurs will also be held, with the participation of 60 competitors, with the financial prizes to be revealed later.

The conclusion will be next February, with the establishment of the Emirati amateur race with the participation of 60 cyclists competing for a distance of 127 km with cash prizes amounting to one million dirhams, in which the owners of the first twenty places from the first race of this season will participate, with a qualifying race to complete the rest of the other forty seats.

Emirati arbitration

The Organizing Committee has approved an Emirati jury consisting of 10 Emirati referees to manage the tournament competitions, based on the success achieved in the past editions.


Negative examination is a requirement for participation

The committee confirmed that the championship has been greened with the highest safety standards in line with instructions and precautionary measures to limit the spread of Coronavirus - Covid 19, and a condition for participation will be to obtain an examination with a negative result within 48 hours of the race day.
