After Norway's losing match against Serbia in the European Championship playoffs, striker Alexander Sörloth ended up in a dispute with national team captain Lars Lagerbäck.

Lagerbäck has later said that he has never seen players cross the border in that way.

Now Sörloth responds to Lagerbäck's comment which took place in a statement from the Norwegian Football Association.

- I have never said that anyone in the coaching team is incompetent.

Never.

I have, after we players were asked to provide feedback, said that I was very critical of how we prepared for the match against Serbia.

Even against the tactical decisions made along the way, he says and continues.

- It says in the press release from NFF (Norwegian Football Association) that I do not want to give any further comments.

That's not true.

I wanted to take it directly with the people concerned.

When I understood that there would be a press release from NFF about what happened at an internal player meeting, I expressed a desire to see it before it was published.

So that I could possibly add something.

But it was never sent to me.
