Yesterday, the government announced that the audience limit will be raised to 300 people.

But in Skåne, the limit of 50 can remain.

Infection control Skåne believes that the corona situation is too risky in the region, Länsstyrlesen Skåne announced in a press release on Friday afternoon.

Anders Chrintz, chairman of handball's big spectator team IFK Kristianstad, explains that the message does not mean much to them - but does not go under the chair with his irritation.

- It does not mean much, more than the frustration of how to flutter so much.

Recommendations for the elderly are released, people are allowed to go to all sorts of malls and shopping centers, but sports and culture must be left behind all the time, he says, and continues:

- And it has been done all the time during this period.

That's what I find strange, to say the least.

They mean that the situation with the increased spread of infection is very serious and that it is then the wrong situation to raise the limit, can you understand that?

- I can absolutely understand that this is the case, but at the same time we as a sports club have been under complete lockdown during this period.

But then it's better to close malls and shopping centers, because that's where people move, right?

- The protocol we have developed for it is probably more infection-proof than going to a mall.

But of course, we have full respect for the pandemic and the fact that it is increasing makes everyone understand that one should be restrictive.

But I still think it's strange that you go up to 300, then you have to locally beat yourself up and do something that is so directly aimed at an industry.

"Different legislation"

Ola Melin, county director at the County Administrative Board of Skåne, says that he fully understands Chrintz's frustration, and that he buys his comparison with shopping centers.

- I agree with that.

This is basically about us having different legislation around one thing and the other, he says.

When will you make a possible decision to keep the 50 limit?

- The next few days will be crucial.

We will have an ongoing, close and daily discussion with the infection control and see what their recommendations and thoughts about the development look like.

We are working further and preparing a potential decision where we can then press the button from 1 November,
