Stéphanie Frappart became the first woman to lead a major match at Uefa last year when she refereed the Super Cup final between Chelsea and Liverpool.
After that, she has judged in both the French top league as well as the Nations League.
And she has also refereed in Sweden when Djurgården defeated FC Europa from Gibraltar in the qualifiers for the Europa League.
On Thursday, it was time for the premiere of a female referee in a group stage match in the Europa League.
It was Leicester who met Zorya Luhansk.
The match ended with a clear 3-0 to Leicester and Stéphanie Frappart handed out a total of three warnings and 19 free kicks.
