The economic effects of the corona pandemic are becoming increasingly serious for the country's sports clubs.

Earlier this week, it emerged that Brynäs is preparing a savings package and according to information, around ten employees at the office may be notified.

Now it is SHL colleague Färjestad who is forced to lower the salaries of all his employees.

- We have for some time agreed with the association's employees on a salary waiver.

Then we talk about all staff, everything from administration to sports, who will waive a certain part of the salary, says Stefan Larsson.

Reductions up to ten percent

He tells Värmlands Folkblad that the agreement is primarily valid for three months and that the club saves SEK 1.3-1.4 million.

When asked how much the employees have lost in salary, Larsson answers:

- It is a little different depending on the salary category, but it is up to ten percent.

Terminations not current

Färjestad has earlier this week announced that the financial forecast for this season will land on lead heavy SEK 34 million in loss.

At present, it is not relevant to lay off staff, but nothing is ruled out either.
