Officially, the match between Zamalek and Al-Raja has been postponed to January 31

The Confederation of African Football yesterday officially decided to postpone the match between Egyptian Zamalek and Moroccan Raja Casablanca in the second leg of the African Champions League semi-finals to the 31st of this month, due to the infection of eight players from the latter's ranks with the Corona virus.

The (CAF) decision came after the Moroccan Ministry of Health refused the Al Rajaa delegation to travel to Cairo to fight the return confrontation, due to the presence of Corona virus infections among the Moroccan team players.

The Emergency Committee of the African Union held a meeting on Wednesday to discuss the petition made by the management of Raja club to postpone the match that was scheduled for Saturday due to the infection of a number of its players with Corona virus.

On Tuesday, the Moroccan Ministry of Health sent a letter to the Al Raja administration informing him of the necessity to enter a quarantine period for a full week, while the local authorities prevented him in another statement from traveling to Egypt, pending the results of the tests that he will undergo on the 27th of this month.

Zamalek had won 1-0 last Sunday at the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca.

The CAF confirmed the date of the first semi-final match between Al-Ahly of Egypt and Wydad Casablanca, which will be scheduled tomorrow at Cairo International Stadium.

Al-Ahly won 2-0 on Saturday.

The final match will be held on the sixth of next November in Egypt.
