The “Extraordinary General Assembly” of the UAE Basketball Federation approved the formation of the elections and appeals committees for the 2020-2024 electoral cycle, to be held next month, and the discipline and appeal committees were also formed.

The Secretary-General of the Basketball Federation, Salem Al-Mutawa, said, in a press statement after the “extraordinary general assembly” meeting, that: “The formation of the elections and appeals committees comes in the legal context of the procedures followed prior to the convening of the“ electoral general assembly ”through which the Federation’s Board of Directors is elected in its session. He added, "After discussing the agenda, an election committee was formed consisting of Muhammad Saleh Al Ali from Sharjah Club, Muhammad Abdullah Sharif from Shabab Al-Ahly, Qasim Muhammad Al-Nuaimi" Al-Nasr ", Minister Rashid Al-Badi" Al-Ain "and Ahlam Al Hosani" Sharjah Sports. " The woman, with a backup member represented by Muhammad Sultan Al-Ketbi from Al-Bataih Club.

He continued: "An appeals committee was also formed, consisting of Muhammad Ahmad Al Hosani from Al-Jazira Club, Salem Saif Al-Ketbi" Al-Dhaid ", Abdullah Ali Muhammad" Al-Wasl ", and the reserve member assigned to Hamad Nasser Al-Alawi from Al-Wehda Club.
